Mattie Jo is a lively senior who loves to go on walks. She has a bit of arthritis but it doesn't slow her down when she gets ready to go. Mattie is a black and tan female with a pronounced kink in her tail. She is house trained and will go to the door to go outside. She gets along well with the other dogs and next to going for walks her favorite thing to do is cuddle on the couch. Mattie was rescued from Animal Control where she was awaiting euthanasia because "noboy wants an old dog" when a kind worker called us. Mattie needed a dental desparately and dental errosion of the jaw was diagnosed, but she came through the procedure with no problems. Mattie would be eternally grateful for a soft bed and a sweet word from a loving new mom or dad- it won't take much to make this old girl happy. Mattie is up to date on all her shots, has had a dental, and is spayed.

Special Needs: Because of jaw detrioration, Mattie must be feed a soft diet. Her mouth has to be checked periodically as she is prone to dental infections.
