Description:
Although Kitty is not available for adoption yet, we wanted to get her story out there.
Less than two weeks ago, someone stuffed Kitty into a Dollar General Store bag and literally threw her out a car window like so much trash. She was heavy with milk, as though she had only recently given birth. No puppies were found.
Luckily, the son of a rescuer was behind the car that threw her away and he and his girlfriend saved her. They were her heroes that day.
Kitty (previously called Dollar) was very fortunate to have no major injuries from being thrown from the car. She does, however, have heart-worms that will need to be treated. She is a very young girl, though, estimated to be 18 months old, so treatment will have no lasting effects. She will be as good as new, physically, in just a couple short months.
Kitty is in a wonderful foster home who is nurturing her and giving her love and praise every day. She is gaining confidence, and amazingly, harbors no resentment towards people, despite what her owners did to her.
Kitty is working very well on house-breaking, though she still has accidents occasionally. She will be spayed before she is placed, and will be heart-worm negative very soon.
If you feel that you are the right person to give Kitty a home, please fill out an application. Although she won't be ready for her new home until Thanksgiving, we are searching for the perfect home now.
Please consider donating in Kitty's name to help cover the costs of her spay, vaccinations and heart-worm treatment so that Kitty can begin the next chapter in her life. One that is filled with hope and love.
