Description:
Meet Ellie May, a young 10-12 month old red with
black highlights superlong dachshund girl. She was found hiding under a
shed, lost, with no identification and no one looking for her. She is
quite possibly the sweetest most energetic puppy ever to grace her foster
home. She is adorable and submissive, madly in love with any doxie
who has an ouce of 'pack leader' in him, showing her belly and simultaneously
kissing his mouth to let him know she's no trouble. She is a snuggle worm,
and loves to sleep with you, regardless where you lay your head. She is
also an awesome alarm clock, and wants you to GET UP NOW when the alarm goes
off. No snoozing with this ball of energy, she'll start grooming your hair
for you if you can't drag yourself out of bed. She has the softest fur
I've ever felt, a little like velvet around her neck. She's a firecracker
and can barely contain herself when it comes to feeding time. She
tolerates being in a crate, but only for the duration of eating her meal.
She isn't destructive, and follows the lead of the other house dogs. She
would like to try to chase the kitties, and would also like to take on dogs 10
times her size in typical doxie fashion. Fortunately for her, the dogs in
her foster home that size are more amused at the idea than annoyed.
Ellie May would do well with older children and
hasn't been around men that much, so a loving dad would make all the difference
with her. If you think you could find a spot in your heart and home for
Ellie May, fill out the application for the girl of your dreams....as long as

dreams.
