Description:
Dana is a lovely black and tan female doxie who has had a bit of a tough time recently. She was the cherished and much loved pet of an elderly lady who became too ill to care for her so GCDR was called. Dana is a bit of a diva and would do best in a home where she is the only dog as she doesn't like to share her mom, her toys, or her space on the couch. We have been working on this and she is doing better but still would prefer to have all the attention directed solely to her. She also probably should not be adopted into a home with children. Dana does have allergies and eats a special dog food. She is undergoing allergy injections and her skin condition is very much improved. Allergy shots will be ongoing for some time, but can be given at home by her new mom or dad. Diva prefers to be walked on a lead to do her business and when this is done regularly she has very few accidents inside. She tends to have more accidents if just put out in the yard with no supervision. Dana is spayed and is up to date with her immunizations. I do not know how Dana is with cats but I suspect she would ignore them. If you can provide this "diva in distress" the kind of home she needs and deserves she will be your faithful and loving companion the rest of her life.
